Kenneth Kubo

Meet Your Professor:

I am a professor in the Biology/Biotechnology Department at American River College, where I teach biotechnology and microbiology and coordinate the ARC Biotechnology Program. I received my B.S. in Medical Microbiology at Stanford University and Ph.D. in Biochemistry at the University of California, San Francisco. After graduate school, I did postdoctoral research at the Institute of Molecular Biology, University of Oregon. Before joining American River College, I was program director of the BIOTECH Project, a biotechnology outreach program at the University of Arizona for high school teachers and students. As a community college professor, I continue my outreach work with high schools, helping to promote biotechnology education in our local area.
